Why learn tap at Stourbridge Dance Academy?

Tap is energetic, musical and wonderfully rewarding. Every new sound becomes part of the choreography, helping dancers improve listening skills, coordination and precision. Our lessons balance disciplined technique with upbeat routines, giving dancers the confidence to perform individually and as part of a group. Pupils can also work towards NATD tap examinations as their technique grows.

Tap for every
age and level

Tap runs on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at our own spacious studios in the town centre. On Saturdays there are combined ballet and tap classes, and the graded tap classes run from Grade 2 up to Intermediate level.

Every examination we offer is CDET accredited, so pupils who choose to take exams work towards a recognised qualification. Adults are welcome too, with Beginners Adult Tap on Thursday evenings.

Your first trial class is free, and uniform is available from our online shop. See the class timetable for the current tap sessions.
