IT STARTED WITH A LOVE OF DANCE
Stourbridge Dance Academy was founded in 1981 by Beverley Hadley, originally as the Beverley Scott School of Dance.
What began as one teacher’s passion has grown into a much-loved, family-run academy with a proud history of training and developing dancers.
All our classes and examinations follow the National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD) syllabi.
The Academy has humble beginnings, starting out in a very small hall with just 5 pupils. Beverley’s hard work and dedication to her pupils took the school from strength to strength, and it has produced some very successful industry professionals over the years. Students have gained places in some of the UK’s top performing arts colleges, gone on to work professionally worldwide in hotels, cruise ships, featured in music videos, television and even in London West End shows.
