Why learn ballet at SDA ?
Ballet gives dancers a strong technical foundation that supports almost every other dance style. Our teachers combine careful correction with encouragement, helping pupils become more controlled, confident and expressive without losing the joy of dancing. Some students come to work towards recognised NATD examinations; others simply want a welcoming weekly class. Both paths are valued at SDA.
Before your first class.
Can beginners join?
Yes. We welcome new dancers and will recommend the most suitable ballet class for their age and experience.
Do you offer adult ballet?
Yes. SDA offers adult ballet as part of its programme. Please check the current timetable for available sessions.
Can pupils take ballet examinations?
Where appropriate, pupils may prepare for NATD examinations when their teacher believes they are ready. Exams are an opportunity, not the only reason to dance.
