Why learn tap dance at SDA ?

Tap is energetic, musical and wonderfully rewarding. Every new sound becomes part of the choreography, helping dancers improve listening skills, coordination and precision. SDA lessons balance disciplined technique with upbeat routines, giving dancers the confidence to perform individually and as part of a group.

Before your first class.

Do I need tap shoes for my first class?

Not necessarily. Ask us what to wear for a trial; we will explain the correct footwear and uniform before you enrol.

Are there adult tap classes?

Yes. SDA offers adult tap. Availability may change, so please view the latest timetable or contact us.

Is tap suitable for beginners?

Yes. We place beginners in an age-appropriate class where they can learn the basic steps safely.
